What you will do

We are seeking a dynamic 360° HR professional to lead and drive our dedicated HR team.

As the HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Alma’s future expansion, with a strong focus on talent acquisition to support our ambitious growth plans. Your role will involve hiring across a diverse range of roles, including research, tech, and creative positions, making the breadth of opportunities a unique attraction. You will be instrumental in headhunting top talent and crafting compelling job ads to attract the best candidates.

You will be responsible for foundational HR functions, ensuring core HR functions and processes are accurate and systematic.

You will champion employee wellbeing and foster a vibrant workplace culture through engaging social initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience.

You will work across the UK and Greece, with the possibility of adding more jurisdictions in the future as Alma continues to grow. You will do this whilst supporting our wider research, communication and technology teams to help deliver meaningful and important work for our clients.

Example responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

  • Develop innovative and effective approaches to sourcing top talent.

  • Oversee candidate evaluation throughout each stage of the hiring process.

  • Manage communication with both internal teams and external candidates.

Employee experience

  • Help onboard new employees and contribute to improving the onboarding process.

  • Organise and maintain a calendar of social events to foster a positive and engaging work culture.

  • Support team members by planning and overseeing wellbeing initiatives.

 

The HR department

  • Assist in refining company policies (such as equality, diversity, and health & safety) for both internal and external use.

  • Keep employee records and internal databases well-organised, current, and accurate.

  • Help expand the HR team as Alma grows.

  • Ensure HR processes are efficient, accurate, and well-structured.

  • Maintain and update employee records and internal systems to ensure consistency and reliability.

Who we want to work with

We are seeking a seasoned HR professional with the expertise to manage and oversee multiple projects across the HR department. A background in recruitment and talent acquisition would be an advantage.

We are looking for a candidate with excellent command of English, both verbal and written. There is no requirement to speak or write in Greek. The ideal individual will possess strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to liaise with colleagues at all levels of seniority. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, where you have opportunities to define your role. You know how to get things done and thrive when working both independently and in a team.

The specific responsibilities of the role and the remuneration package to successful candidates will vary depending on the individual's professional experience, academic background, and skillset.

Alma Economics is a friendly and informal place, and our offices are designed for both work and play. Our team consists of enthusiastic and talented individuals, who love learning and are always ready to support others.

We do not have a one-size-fits-all WfH policy. Most staff members work from home for one or two days during a typical week, while it is also possible to arrange to WfH for more extended periods (e.g., 2-4 weeks) to visit family or travel.
