Kris Hicks - Senior Manager

Kris is a strategic business leader with over 20 years of experience in high-profile economic advisory, commercial growth, and organisational transformation. With a background in board-level strategy consulting, his expertise spans economic impact analysis, strategic growth, and high-level advisory roles for governments, charities, and private enterprises.

Before joining Alma Economics, he held leadership roles across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, including as an Economic Advisor to the Mid Wales Growth Deal, Business Advisor to the Welsh Government, and Strategic Business Advisor for Business Wales. Kris has also led major organisations, serving as Chief Operating Officer at AVA Group, leading on all operational and commercial governance matters, and as Executive Director at the National Centre for Social Research.

Kris holds a BA in Business Economics from Wolverhampton University.

Outside of work, he stays busy with his five kids and dogs, playing golf, painting, or impressing people with his magic tricks.
