Dimitris Zantzas – Head of Comms and Media Production
Dimitris oversees the Communication and Media Production team at Alma Economics.
He is experienced in strategic planning and designing integrated communication campaigns, particularly focusing on issues with strong social impact. Prior to joining Alma, Dimitris worked in the external relations department of UNHCR Greece, where he managed the organisation’s reporting portfolio. Before that, he held senior communications roles at the NGOs ActionAid and WWF, where he led various communication projects, including multi-stakeholder and EU-funded initiatives. These roles built on skills Dimitris developed while working in the media for major newspapers and digital news outlets for a decade, initially as a journalist focusing on international stock and commodity markets, and later as editor-in-chief.
Dimitris holds an MSc in International Relations from the University of Geneva and a BA in International and European Affairs from the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. He also interned at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP).
Dimitris enjoys taking rides on his motorcycle, immersing himself in cinematic universes like those of The Lord of the Rings and The Matrix, and experimenting with his own scriptwriting. He is a huge fan of John Steinbeck and adores his two 16-year-old puppies-at-heart.
