Diego Rossinelli - Economist
Diego Rossinelli is a researcher at Alma who combines expertise in economics, anthropology, and public policy.
Diego spent a decade coordinating and implementing social and economic research for government institutions in his native Peru. Conducting extensive fieldwork with hard-to-reach communities, his work included impact evaluations for policy interventions related to early childhood development, education, nutrition, domestic violence, and economic inclusion.
As a coordinator for the Social Innovation Laboratory of Peru’s Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (MIDI), Diego played an integral role in all phases of the organisation’s social innovation cycle, from the identification and prioritisation of needs to identifying, piloting, and evaluating innovative solutions.
Diego holds an MA in Anthropology of Development and Social Transformation from the University of Sussex, complementing the strong background in quantitative analysis he owes in part to his MSc in Economics and Finance from the Barcelona School of Economics. He was previously awarded a BA in Economics and Public Policy from the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences.
Diego doesn’t go anywhere without a fitting soundtrack, notably making it into the top 1% of Peruvian Spotify listeners. He's also a big fan of reptiles, counting two snakes among his London housemates.
