David Bateman – Economist
David Bateman is an economist with a strong interest in development economics.
Prior to joining Alma, David worked as a teaching assistant at a school catering to pupils with special educational needs.
David holds an MSc (Distinction) in Economics from Queen’s University Belfast, with his dissertation exploring whether stronger formal property rights positively influence household investment and housing quality in Nicaragua. He also holds a BSc in Economics (First Class Honours) from the University of Kent.
David is an avid traveller as well as a passionate football and cricket fan. So, while no one can be sure where his next trip will take him, if Fulham or Kent County Cricket Club are playing you can bet he’ll have figured out a way to tune in.
