Dario Maddaloni - Economist

Dario is an economist with an interest in public policy and econometrics.

Prior to joining Alma, Dario worked at Ernst & Young for three years, developing his problem-solving and managerial skills while delivering projects for the Italian government and high-profile organisations.

He holds an MSc in Economics of Public Policy from Universitat Pompeu Fabra and Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and an MSc in Management from LUISS Guido Carli University. His thesis investigated the impact of rainfall shocks on educational outcomes in rural Brazil. Other research projects he has worked on addressed the relationship between job insecurity and psychological wellbeing, and the evolution of the union wage gap in the UK.

Dario likes to hunt for the oddest knickknacks he can find at flea markets, or escape the city altogether for days and nights of free camping. He proclaims a love of cinema, but is currently on his third rewatch of The Office (and it’s probably not the last one either).
