Vangelis Kapsoulakis - Developer
Vangelis is a software engineer with expertise in JavaScript, Python and React. At Alma, he works as part of our Tech team developing tools for research, analysis, and data processing.
Before joining Alma, Vangelis spent time as a front-end developer at the LCI Lab of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, contributing to a project that sought to engage children and teenagers with science.
Vangelis holds an MSc in Computer Engineering and Informatics from the University of Patras. For his thesis, he developed a video game to help new software engineering graduates find their footing in the job market. He subsequently co-authored an academic paper evaluating the project’s educational benefits, published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

Vangelis is as much at home in the great outdoors as he is behind his computer. He enjoys camping on his native island of Lefkada and volunteering to help keep the local environment clean - when he’s not occupied hunting down the nefarious Lich King in World of Warcraft, that is.
