George Economou - Economist

George is a highly skilled economist with a strong interest in environmental policy and sustainable development.

George has completed a research internship at the Centre of Planning and Economic Research in Athens, which culminated in the publication of a peer-reviewed paper mapping workforce concentration across EU regions. During his MS studies he was a key member of the Food for Thought Committee at the Asset Economics Association. In this role, he used his organisational skills to plan and coordinate high-profile events with leading stakeholders from the public and private sector on topics relating to business development, sustainability and financial planning.

George holds an MSc in Economics from Tilburg University, Netherlands, where he specialised in sustainable development and behavioural economics. He also holds a BA in International and European Economic Studies from the Athens University of Economics and Business.

Above the office, George is an experienced skydiver and currently aims to acquire the next level of his licence. When on ground level, he can be found practicing his judo skills and exploring the endless educational content of the internet – which usually involves a healthy amount of cute cats and dogs.
