Who we want to work with

We’re looking for a Finance Manager who can help shape our finance team’s direction across all our locations in Greece and the UK. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment with robust processes and forward-looking financial planning and business partnering. This role offers the opportunity to introduce new practices and provide insights that will play a key role in supporting business growth decision making.  

This role will report directly to the CFO. As a Finance Manager, you will work closely with the executive leadership team and collaborate with top economics analysts to produce reports and develop processes affecting all teams across the organisation. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, results-oriented individual who can focus on both strategy and execution. Key responsibilities

Support Strategic Growth 

  • Conduct and present robust analysis and insights that distil complex financial information into clear messages and support decision-making.  
  • Contribute to financial planning and support senior management with relevant data and analysis.  

Deliver High-Impact Financial Insights 

  • Building and maintaining financial models, tools, and processes that are scalable, repeatable, and designed for accuracy and efficiency. 
  • Reviewing and refining key performance metrics to ensure they provide clarity into business health and direction. 
  • Monitor forecasts vs actuals and provide variance analysis. 

Financial control and compliance 

  • Manage the internal control frameworks, risk management protocols and finance procedures.  
  • Ensure adherence to accounting policies and relevant regulation across finance activities.  
  • Monitor financial risks and highlight issues to the CFO with suggested actions.  
  • Lead the timely delivery of financial statements, management reports and analysis.  
  • Support improvements in the department’s processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.  
  • Oversee payment processes and ensure compliance with internal approval procedures.  
  • Develop, document, and improve accounting policies, systems, and processes to strengthen internal controls, efficiency, and scalability. 

Drive team cross functional communication 

  • Support the team in daily operations and contribute to a positive team environment.  
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members where needed.  
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and act as a point of contact for finance-related matters.  
  • Work with external partners (accountants, auditors, payroll providers) as required.  
  • Contribute to process improvements and adoption of new tools and practices.  
  • Leading and developing teams through change and transformation. 
  • Identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements. 

Requirements

Essential:

  • University-level degree, preferably in finance, accounting or a related field.  
  • Previous experience in a relevant senior role. 
  • Professional working proficiency in English.  
  • Good knowledge of international accounting standards, legal frameworks relevant to finance and accounting, and tax regulations. 
  • Expertise in statutory reporting, payroll compliance, and international accounting standards (IFRS). 
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution. 
  • Knowledge of financial, accounting and auditing procedures. 

Desirable:

  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, ACA, CMA, CFA) or equivalent. 
  • MBA or master’s degree in finance/business is an advantage. 
  • Previous experience with accounting software.

We do not have a one-size-fits-all WfH policy. Most staff members work from home for one or two days during a typical week, while it is also possible to arrange to WfH for more extended periods (e.g., 2-4 weeks) to visit family or travel.

While most staff work 5-day weeks, for most full-time positions we also offer the option of a 4-day working week, either from day one or as an arrangement employees can transition into later in their Alma career.
