Maria is a senior economist with expertise in microeconomics and econometrics, and a strong interest in applying economic evidence to public policy.
Since joining Alma, Maria has contributed to a wide range of projects, from evidence reviews to the design and implementation of complex economic models. She brings strong quantitative skills and has worked with clients such as the Welsh Government, the Scottish Government, the Centre for Justice Innovation, and the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, among others.
She holds an MSc in Analysis and Policy in Economics from the Paris School of Economics, where her thesis explored the labour market integration of immigrants in the United States.
Maria is an avid hiker—if she’s on leave, she’s most likely on a mountain trail or summit. At office parties, she’s the one to turn the evening into a karaoke session, and she’s always ready to share stories and traditions from her home region over lunch.
