Cem is a Backend Engineer at Alma, bringing deep technical expertise in full-stack development, cloud infrastructure, and data science.

With over four years of experience in building and optimising backend systems, Cem has worked across sectors to develop scalable digital solutions spanning a wide range of tools and technologies, including Python, JavaScript, SQL, FastAPI, and cloud platforms like Azure and AWS. Before joining Alma, Cem held engineering roles at tech consultancies and infrastructure firms where he led initiatives like cloud migrations, API refactoring, and advanced data analysis.

Cem holds an MSc in Data Science from Birkbeck, University of London, and two prior degrees in mathematics education and mechanical engineering.

Cem is a history buff with a special fascination for the ancient Roman Empire, often found exploring historical sites and wandering through museums. When the weekend rolls around, you will likely find him at his local pub – football on the screen, pint in hand, passionately analysing tactics.
